Pricing and quotes
How much does an electrician cost?
It depends on the job. Small jobs like a power point or a light are quick and affordable. Bigger jobs like switchboard upgrades or rewiring depend on the home and what’s involved. Every job is quoted, and you get the price before we start.
Do you give free estimates?
Yes. For small jobs we can often price it over the phone or from a photo. For bigger jobs we visit and give you a written quote.
Can I send a photo for a quote?
Yes, and it often speeds things up. Text a photo to 0405 418 132 or mention it in the quote form.
Does after-hours work cost more?
After-hours rates can be different from weekday rates. Ask us on the phone and we’ll explain the cost before we come out.
Booking and call-outs
When are you open?
8am to 6pm, 7 days a week, plus 24/7 for electrical emergencies.
How fast can you get to me?
It depends on where we are and what else is happening, especially during storms. We give you an honest time when you call.

Do you do commercial work?
Yes. We do fit-outs, warehouse lighting, three-phase power, test and tag and maintenance for businesses.
Safety, insurance and compliance
Are you licensed?
Yes. We are a Registered Electrical Contractor (REC) in Victoria, and all work is done by licensed electricians.
Will I get a Certificate of Electrical Safety?
Yes, for all work that requires one. For prescribed work like switchboards it’s issued after an independent inspection.
Do you handle insurance claims?
Yes. We document the damage, write the report and quote your insurer needs, and do the repairs. Your insurer decides what’s covered.
Can I do my own electrical work?
No. In Victoria, electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician, even small jobs like changing a power point.
Do you do rental safety checks?
Yes. Two-yearly electrical safety checks and annual smoke alarm checks. See rental safety checks.
