Cooling that’s wired right
Summers in Point Cook and Werribee can be brutal, and a good ceiling fan makes a real difference for very little running cost. On reverse, fans help in winter too, pushing warm air back down from the ceiling.
We install ceiling fans with or without lights, on wall or remote control, in bedrooms, living areas and alfresco spaces. Outdoor areas get fans rated for outdoor use.
For split system air conditioners we do the electrical side: a dedicated circuit from the switchboard, the isolator at the outdoor unit and the connections. We work with your air conditioning installer or whoever supplied the unit.
Jobs we’re called for
The most common fan and air conditioning jobs we do.
- Replacing an old, wobbly or noisy fan
- Adding fans to bedrooms without one
- Fans for a new alfresco or patio
- A new split system that needs a circuit
- An air conditioner tripping the power
- Moving an existing fan
- A switchboard with no spare space
- Fitting a fan with a light kit
How we install fans and air conditioning circuits
For fans we check the ceiling structure, the existing wiring and the ceiling height so the blades sit at a safe clearance. We supply and fit the fan, or install one you’ve bought.
For split systems we check your switchboard has room and your supply can handle the extra load. Larger systems often need their own circuit, and sometimes a switchboard upgrade first.
You get a written quote before we start and a Certificate of Electrical Safety when we’re done.
The refrigerant side of a split system must be done by a licensed air conditioning technician. We handle the electrical side and can work alongside your installer.
Fan and air conditioning questions
Ask a question, no obligationCan you install a fan I bought myself?
Yes, as long as it suits the room and comes with all its parts. We check it before we start.
Do split systems need their own circuit?
Most do. It depends on the size of the unit and the manufacturer’s instructions. We check before we quote.
Can a fan go on a raked or high ceiling?
Usually, with the right mounting kit and a longer downrod. We check on site.
Do you install the whole air conditioner?
We do the electrical work. The refrigerant side needs a licensed air conditioning technician, and we can work with yours.
